Eine der größten Fragen zum geplanten Ghost in the Shell Film war bisher ob er sich nach dem Manga (1989) von Masamune Shirow oder dem Anime (1995) von Mamoru Oshii richten wird… das wurde nun in einem Interview von Screenrant.com mit der Regisseurin Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) geklärt:
“Ghost in the Shell was originally the manga. The anime came from the original graphic novel and then — and that anime, as you know, is a relatively famous, groundbreaking piece of material — also generated two seasons of an animated television show as well. And this is an adaptation of the original manga, the original comic book that sort of began everything.” - Laeta Kalogridis

Geplant ist er schon länger, nun kommt schonbar Bewegung in die Sache. Laut AHT wurde ein Drehbuchautor für die geplante (Hollywood) Realfilm Umsetzung zu Mamoru Oshii’s Ghost in the Shell gefunden, Laeta Kalogridis soll das Script schreiben. Ich persönlich weiß nicht so recht was ich davon halten soll, ich meine GitS ist zweifelsohne genial (sowohl die Filme als auch die Serie), aber ein Realfilm dazu…

Wie affenheimtheather berichtet erscheint am 29. November (jap.) die erste BluRay Box zu “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”. Die Box kommt allerdings OHNE Englische Untertitel daher, verwirrender weise ist eine englische Tonspur (aber nur in DD 5.1) aber vorhanden…
Ich kann mich da nur der Meinung von AHT anschließen, scheinbar möchte Bandai Visual damit in Europa nicht wirklich Geld verdienen. Welcher Fan würde sich diese Box denn kaufen (mal abgesehen von denen die des Japanischen mächtig sind) nur um sie dann in der englischen Syncro zu sehen? Ich jedenfalls nicht 
Bleibt eigentlich nur zu hoffen das es auch eine gute DE/EU BluRay Box geben wird…
