The Legend of Korra
Nein Nein, es geht nicht um ein Sequel zu M. Night Shyamalan’s Live-Action Version (auch wenn hier ursprünglich 3 Filme geplant sind/waren), es geht um eine “Fortsetzung” der originalen Nickelodeon Animations-TV-Serie! Die Produzenten werden, wie schon bei dem Original, wieder Michael DiMartino und Bryan Konietzko, es werden wieder 3 Staffel und zu sehen sein soll das ganze schon ab 2011! Achja, The Legend of Korra soll das ganze heissen! Ich freu mich wie ein Schnitzel! 
In the show, Korra’s quest will eventually leads her to Republic City, “the epicenter of the world of “Avatar.” A metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology, the city is inhabited by people from all nations. Korra finds that Republic City suffers from rampant crime and is also dealing with an anti-bender revolt. Korra is tutored by Aang’s son, Tenzin, is the ways of airbending.”
Look for it in 2011 on Nickelodeon.

Endlich ist er da, der erste Trailer zu M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender“! Und wow sieht das gut aus… ich brauche ja wohl nicht zu sagen wie sehr ich mich auf diesen Film freue!
The Last Airbender is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, of The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water, and The Happening previously. The screenplay was also written by M. Night Shyamalan while the story was co-written by Shyamalan and creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. This is based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender that first debuted in 2005. Paramount is bringing The Last Airbender to theaters everywhere starting on July 2nd this summer.

Wohl als kleinen Vorgeschmack auf den echten ersten Trailer, welcher nächste Woche erwartet wird, hat Paramount den Super-Bowl TV Spot zu The Last Airbender veröffentlicht (via UGO). Sieht meiner Meinung nach wirklich vielversprechend aus und macht Lust auf mehr:

Es gibt einen neuen Schwung Bilder zur kommenden Real-Verfilmung der Nickelodeon Serie “Avatar“:
Der Erste von 3 geplanten Filmen (je ein Film pro Staffel der Serie) soll im Juli unter den Namen “The Last Airbender” (dt. Die Legende von Aang) in die Kinos kommen.

Avatar: The Last Airbender – Shyamalan im Interview

M. Night Shyamalan hat sich in einem Interview mit der LA. Times zu “The Last Airbender” (dt. “Die Legende von Aang“) geäußert. So verriet er unter anderem das Ihn seine 7-jährige Tochter auf die Serie aufmerksam gemacht hat:
“She made us watch as a family and all four of us were hooked, “ Shyamalan said. “I was like, ‘This would make a killer movie. And my wife who really has been kind of in neutral about my career was insane about it. Insane about it: ‘You have to do it. This is it. This is the one.’ ”
Außerdem hätten Ihm die Buddhistische Lebensanschauung gefallen, und er geht sogar so weit die Serie mit Matrix und Star Wars zu vergleichen:
“Aang himself needs to find balance to be the Avatar and to master each of these elements,” the director said. “We get to see the process of someone mastering themselves through the three seasons to get to peace.”
“In the first ‘Matrix,’ you realize that what you’re seeing is all false,” Shyamalan said. “Those are really ancient ideas. Basic old, old religion. This has that as well. So if you go on the journey and you’ll feel that epiphany on top of a great roller-coaster ride. It’s going to be something.“
