Seit dem 9. Juni 2009 ist es amtlich, Futurama geht nach den 4 Filmen in eine neue Runde! Der Sender Comedy Central hat 26 neue “half-hour episodes” bestellt welche Mitte 2010 in den USA ausgestrahlt werden sollen!
Es ist einfach toll das Comedy Central diesen Schritt wagt und die vor 7 Jahren von FOX eingestampfte Serie weiter führen will:
“[...]Futurama was another series that fans simply demanded we bring back, and we couldn’t have been happier when Matt and David agreed that there were many more stories yet to tell.”
Ich bin wohl nicht der einzige der sich über diese Meldung “wie’n Schnitzel” freut, so sagte Groening:
“We’re thrilled Futurama is coming back. We now have only 25,766 episodes to make before we catch up with Bender and Fry in the year 3000.”
